This woodland specialist emerges in July, is only ever seen for a few weeks. and is in decline in Latchmore. The first monitoring season of 2015 saw over a hundred, and numbers dropped immediately, so that only 2 could be found in 2020, and 2021 was the first year when none were found. The felling of trees in the enclosures certainly appears to have added to the decline, but there are other factors, as this species was already suffering.
