Holly Blue

The Holly Blue is frequently seen in Latchmore, but never in large numbers.  As the name suggests, they are often found in or near holly trees, and unlike other blues, are often seen above head height.  There are scattered hollies along the route, particularly in the hedge-line of the green ride between the wooded enclosures (Section 3 of the route).  Holly Blue has two broods each year, with the later brood, over July and August, by far the more numerous.  In 2021, no first brood individuals were seen.
