Green-veined White

This small butterfly favours the damp areas, and woodland edges, so can often be found in Section 3 of the route.  In flight it can be difficult to distinguish from the Small White, so was possibly under-counted in the first couple of years.  Emerging in small numbers for a first brood typically in late April, the peak of sightings come in July, when a more numerous second brood is on the wing, and small numbers can be seen through August.
